Allcargo Avvashya Group Sport Club Won the Final of Mumbai Cricket Association recognised prestigious Times Shield “F Division” tournament 2015-16.
Allcargo played the final on 9th April 2016 against Multiscreen Media Pvt Ltd. In all 64 corporate teams participated in this knockout tournament at Mumbai. Global Cricket Community was privileged to attend this match as we have been tracking the progress of opening batsman and off-spinner Deepak Bhogle since last 5 years. He has scored a highest of 78 not out runs in Semi-finals of this tournament also taken 38/3 in round 2 matches. Deepak has been on the global news with us regularly. We witnessed good cricket from Deepak and the full team of Allcargo. The Allcargo team was captained by Amish Dabholkar and had senior experienced player Rajesh Chalke along with other good players.
The cricket team head – Vasant Shetty was very pleased with the success of Allcargo team after winning the F Division Title of Times Shield. He praised the efforts of all the players and seniors. He thanked the support and appreciation by the company’s seniors and management to bringing this cricket effort to a new level of success. Next year they will play in higher Division E in Times Shield. The Day was hot, sun shining, clear sky and the ground outfield was green. The toss was won by Multiscreen Media team and they elected to bat. They put up a score of 201/10 in 44.2. Allcargo team chased the target successfully by scoring 204/4 in 35.2. The match was played at Sachin Tendulkar Gymkhana, Kandivali – Mumbai.
Batting first Multiscreen team batting openers' wickets fell fast with Pratik Patil 29(18) trying to accelerate the score. Prathmesh Raul 58(89) and Vishal Pandey 49(62) gave some stability to their batting. Bowlers of Allcargo Sahil Madgaonkar (32 runs 3 wickets) and (Umang Seth 36 runs for 3 wickets) were the top bowlers. Amish Dabholkar, Rajas Raut, Kunal Chalke and Satish Korpe also took 1 wicket each. Good catching and wicket-keeping marked this innings a team effort by Allcargo.
During the break, Allcargo set the batting strategy to achieve the target of 202. We at Global Cricket Community were proud to see Deepak Bhogle score 59 runs in 51 balls with 10 fours. Vishwas Shinde also scored 38(42). Middle order batsman Umang Seth played a steady 53 runs in 72 balls staying not-out and bringing the Allcargo team to victory. Sahil Madgonkar 15(19) and Amish Dabholkar made 24(27). The bowlers from Multiscreen team tried their best and got 4 wickets which were not enough to win the match. Anirudh Jadhav 32/2 and Prathmesh Raut 50/2 were the best bowlers for Multiscreen team. Allcargo won with 6 wickets in hand in 36th over.

Round 3: DMCC 126 all out in 37.4 overs (Rajas Raut 3-25, Deepak Bhogle 3-38) lost to Allcargo 127 for 3 in 21.3 overs (Vishwas Shinde 32, Deepak Bhogle 36) by 7 wickets
Quarter Finals: BARC 222 all out in 44 overs (Sahil Madgaonkar 3-35, Amish Dabholkar 2-20) lost to Allcargo 224 for 3 in 41 overs (Sahil Madgaonkar 65 not out, Vishwas Shinde 33, Rajas Raut 38 not out) by 7 wickets
Semi Finals: MTNL 116 all out in 36 overs (Sahil Madgaonkar 3-31, Shitesh Korpe 5-23) lost to Allcargo 121 for 1 in 18 overs (Deepak Bhogle 76 not out) by 9 wickets.
With most corporate teams hiring professional players to play Times Shield tournament, competition is very high and Allcargo team did well to reach the finals.
During the course, we saw some good and matured performances from Deepak, Amish, Sahil, Rajas, Vishwas, Umang and Shitesh.
