Cricket Structure and Culture:

Playing in the ICC World Twenty20 2016 at India currently is a well known cricket nation in world cricket. Hong Kong has been an associate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) since 1969. The first recorded evidence of cricket being played in Hong Kong dates back to 1841. Today, cricket is fully-fledged sport that is professionally administered by the Hong Kong Cricket Association and subvented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department. Lamma Cricket Club - Check out the updated Activity & Tour News with plenty of things to add to your diary.. A Lamma cricket team played its first game in 1990 when some players were invited to play against the Hong Kong University Social XI at Sandy Bay. He late joined Diamond Cricket Club as he grew older. He was par of U19 National Cricket Team of Pakistan. His dedication and Cricket spirit brought him to Hong Kong and over the years he developed a lot in his game. In the recently concluded ICC WorldT20 Qualifiers 2015, Tanwir had an opportunity to represent the National side. Hong Kong did exceptionally well throughout the tournament, which landed them a place in Top 16 of the tournament. Hong Kong - Mariko Hill - Vice Captain of Hong Kong Women's National Cricket Team

Mariko HillMariko Hill is just 19 and has bagged several achievements to her list. She is the Vice Captain of the Hong Kong Women's National Cricket Team. Mariko started playing Cricket when she was just 11 and it's been 8 years now. She is also the Captain of Hong Kong Cricket Club which plays in men's Sunday and Saturday league competitions. Mariko is keen on improving her batting skills, which is currently the demand of the Team. Amidst all the challenges, Mariko is positive in her approach and sees her team playing in the World Cup Qualifiers very soon.
