Pudong Cricket Club aka ‘The Power‘ are one of the four founding clubs of the Shanghai Cricket Club (SCC). The Pudong Power Cricket club have teams in each of the three SCC (Shanghai Cricket Club) league divisions. The PCC are an active touring side, playing cricket throughout China and Asia. The members of the club come from every cricketing nation of the world.


SCC League Division One (D1) (Elite players from each club compete at the highest level in 40 over matches); SCC League Division Two (D2) (Pudong's D2 plays in a very competitive mid-way league playing 30 over matches); SCC League Division Three (D3) plays 20 over games.

Ground and Venues:

Pudong Cricket Club played their first game on May 2004. Previously Pundong Power Cricket Club played at Shanghai Rugby Football Club. The Shanghai Rugby Football Club (SRFC) presents the majority of the Shanghai Cricket Club’s games. They have two pitches, nets for training, and a clubroom with restaurant and bar managed by the Big Bamboo. The Shanghai Rugby Football Club is located in Waigaoqiao in Pudong. The Shanghai Rugby Football Club was founded in 1997 and is a not-for-profit recreation club managed by its members, for its members. Another location is Dulwich College Ground. Located on the grounds of Dulwich College in Jinqiao, the Dulwich cricket ground is the first cricket ground in Shanghai following the restitution of the sport in the 1990s and is the former location of the SRFC. The ground has hosted a number of important international and club matches, including the first recorded match of the Chinese national women’s cricket team against Scotland in 2006. The ground also hosted to the first 10 Shanghai International Cricket Sixes, one of the premier sporting events on the Shanghai calendar.


Apart from the SCC League, the club also participates in tours and play father-son matches and other matches during the season. The club's prime objective is to ensure that all members develop and improve through their involvement with the club.

Mr. Mark Bernhard is a Club Chairman, Mr. Graeme McKim is a Acting Chairman of Pudong Power Cricket Club. Ben Lyons is a captain of 1st XI, Amogh Kayshap is a captain of Div 2 Pudong Cricket Club and Richard is a captain of "D3 The Dream Team".
