Mahamadou Taifour Daiby who plays for Rising Sun Cricket Club, is currently the coach of U-17 National team and also the Vice Captain of Mali National Cricket Team. In the interview, Taifour mentioned how Mali is taking small steps towards their Cricket development inspite of not having basic cricket equipments like bat and ball.

2. At Present: Are you a Coach? A cricket player? A cricket related business? A club Owner? A cricket Fan? Mention your work profile (if anything else).
At present, I am a cricket player and also the coach of some junior clubs and the national team U-17.

3. Are you playing cricket currently? If Yes - Since how long are you playing cricket? What level of cricket have you played so far in your country?
Yes I am playing Cricket currently. I started playing Cricket in 2006. I play senior level (Vice captain of the National team).

4. Do you play for any club or a team? Mention their names? When was it founded? Where are you working currently?
I play for a club in Mali named RISING SUN CRICKET CLUB and the national team too. The club was created in 2011. I work as Administrator Assistant and Marketing Manager at Fédération Malienne de Cricket.

5. Where do you and your team see yourself in coming 5 years? Where do you want to focus in order to improve your cricket?
We’re seeing ourselves in another Cricket Country challenging other Cricket Clubs.

6. Do your club/association have any website or facebook page? Mention their links.
taifour-daibyNo, we have don't have a website nor a Facebook page for the moment but we’re planning before July for the website. We have a group on Facebook : Mali Cricket Fans

7. Any recent achievements/activities that you had. (It could be organizing a small camp, or just playing a match or organizing a cricket camp or playing a tournament series) Do mention the date.
Every Sunday we’re organizing a cricket match with the Pakistanis and Indians here in Mali.

8. Would you like to come to India for a tournament or a coaching camp
Yes I would like and I’ll be very pleased. It’ll be a very big experience for me and for Mali Cricket too.

9. What are the challenges you are facing in your country's cricket? If any, how do you feel to overcome those challenges?
The challenging we’re facing in Mali Cricket are the problem of Bat and bowl, and we still don’t have a Cricket Ground. For the kits, we used to receive some from of the Cricket Father of Mali living actually in Wales named Dr Phil WATSON. And about the ground, we’re managing on a football ground or sometimes a basket ball one. We really need help in these areas.Team-Mali-Cricket-Team

A cricket Ground and sponsorship

12. Would you like to nominate any club from your country for a free website from Global Cricket Community? If Yes, Why?
I would like to nominate my Country Cricket Association (femacrik). As one of the main detail asked by the ACA, all Cricket Country need a website. And especially, it will help us to promote better the game and attract sponsors.

13. Tell in brief (One paragraph). Which country are you supporting this World Cup? And Why?
During this world cup, I am supporting The Proteas Fire of SOUTH AFRICA. This reason is motivated by the fact that I’ve always been inspired by the South African actual ODI Captain AB DE VILLIERS, his style of play, the way he conducts on the field.
