Merion Cricket Club is located in Haverford, PA, USA. This family-oriented club established in 1865. At the very beginning the club was located in Wynnewood, the place was owned by Colonel Owen Jones, who was father of one of the club's founders J. Aubrey Jones. In the year of 1866, Merion Cricket Club played and won their first match against Haverford College. After this victory the club travelled overseas several times and compete with England’s popular clubs. In 1892, The Merion Cricket Board acquire some acre in Haverford.
In the 1920, cricket had become ungrounded and finally in 1970 the cricket was rejuvenate by a small group of members headed by E.Rotan ("Tanny") Sargent.
2015 was 150th Anniversary of Merion Cricket Club. Merion Cricket Club is in very few club list of United States who achieve this honour.
