Paddy Foleys Cricket Club is named after the famous Irish Pub located in Roppongi, Tokyo. The club has a Tokyo based team with members from various countries. The PFCC team was formed in the year 2005 by a bunch of guys who either worked or visited the pub. Spending time together watching the 2005 Ashes and other series and talking cricket in general, most had played in their younger days, the idea was thrown up to form a team, and so Paddy Foleys Cricket club was born.
The club initially struggled in their starting seasons because the players were falling short of match practice and fitness. They also faced scheduling issues while combining their sports times and the entertainment schedule. But the club since then has grown bit by bit and the members pride themselves on being a team that enjoys both on and off the field. The club regularly visits the Paddys for celebration after winning their games.
The clubs website list 25 players from the 2013 player list, Mr. Suleman Rana (Pakistan) being the Club Leader and Organizer, Mr. Udaya Athukorala (Sri Lanka) is the First XI captian are two of the key profiles from PFCC. Rest of the members are from various countries majorly Sri Lankan, and also Indian, English, British, Australian, Bangaldeshi, Nepali.
In 2008 the PFCC achieved their first ever competition wins picking up two trophies the Japan Cup and the Golden Bat. They then backed that up with two titles in 2009, defending the Japan Cup and winning the Japan Cricket League Division 2 title.
