Cricket Club of Bayern (CCB) Munich was founded in 2002. The club is a member of Bavarian Cricket Verband and The Deutsche Cricket Bund. The Cricket Club of Bayern Munich includes players from various countries like India, Pakistan, West Indies, New Zealand, England, Afghanistan, and South Africa and last but not the least Germany itself. The Club aims to give keen cricketers a chance to play cricket in the city of Munich.
CCB is a family club and it welcomes everyone who wants to play, learn and enjoy cricket in Munich. The events are often joined by Family members of the cricket players.
The Club’s outdoor playing season starts in the month of April. CCB organizes atleast one match every weekend and play atleast 7 league games in a season. The club on an average plays around 20-25 matches per season.
The management behind the functioning of club is as follows: The club is chaired by Mr. Appavu Sembian, Mr. Sharique Javaid is the Vice Chairman, Youth Coordinator and Web Admin of the club. Mr. Mohsin Niaz Ahmed is the club Secretary and Vice Captain. Mr. Masthan Reddy is the club Treasurer. Mr. James Hill is the women coordination.
The Club team is captained by McIntosh Wadroy (Mikey).
Some of the recent achievements of the Cricket Club of Bayern are: League 2nd (2008), T20 Semi-Finalists (2009), based on points joint league 2nd (2010), T20 finalists (2010), BCV indoor champions (2009 & 2010), Runners up BCV indoor championship 2011.
