Cape Town Cricket ClubCape Town Cricket Club is located in Cape Town, South Africa. History: Cape Town Cricket Club extend back to the year 1857, making it one of the oldest cricket clubs in South Africa. The driving force behind the establishment of the club was one William Thomas Hancock Sherman, an exceptional cricket player who became the first President of the Club in that year.

Famous Names: Cape Town Cricket Club boasts at least 26 international cricketers. Modern day players such as Jacques Kallis and Jonathan Trott have both played for the club at times. Three members of the club have captained South Africa, “Biddy" Anderson, in 1902, Sibley John Snooke in 1909 and Jock Cameron in the 1930’s.

Achievements: Between 1980 and 1989, the Club won the Premier League trophy five times and the National Club Championship Trophy twice and was runner-up once. The teams of this period were probably the strongest in the Club’s history.

The Club has First XI, Senior Team, Under 23 and, Under 18 teams that play in various Premier and division leagues and cups. The club membership and practice is well structured and managed. There are also venue bookings available for club house and ground. The Coach for Cape Town Cricket Club juniors is Wayne Hendricks. He is a qualified UCB (United Cricket Board) Level III cricket coach with 12 years coaching experience. He coached at a cricket academy in Port Elizabeth before moving to Cape Town to pursue his life-long dream, starting his own cricket academy. He also coached various Western Province age group team from U13 to U19 level.

Tours – Cape Town Cricket Club also arranges and hosts cricket tours. Recently in 2015 – Local premier league cricket club and the second oldest club in South Africa, Cape Town Cricket Club, had offered various tour packages for supporters of the England Cricket Tour to South Africa at the end of 2015.
