After winning a thrilling second ODI Virat’s team was very charged up and very confident for the last ODI of the Series. The pitch was good for the team who will bat second by considering the pitch report Virat elected to bowl and asked England to bat first.  England batsmen are in good form and ready to build a match winning score.

England strategy is to give a good start and to have a good partnership stand. Team India was finding their first wicket to boost the bowler’s confidence. Ravindra Jadeja gave a break through to his team and sent a set player back to the pavilion. England lost their first wicket of Jason Roy who had scored consecutive fifties and this time added 65 runs to his total score. Well-formed Jadeja again showed his magic with spin and took his second wicket of Sam Billings on the personal score of 35 off 58 Balls. This time team England were on 110-2 in 19.4 overs. India puts England on back foot and tried to take more wickets in this situation but skipper and middle order handled the situation very safely and stood on the crease. England Skipper played 43 runs off 44 balls. Jonny Bairstow and Ben Stokes added 113 runs to the team score. With the help of their excellent partnership team England managed to Scored 321 runs at the end of their inning.

Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja took the most wickets for team India, Pandya took 3 wickets by giving 49 runs and Jadega took 2 wickets by giving 62 runs. Ravindra Jadeja completed the milestone of taking 150 wickets as a left arm spinner and became the first Indian to do so.

Team India needed 322 to white wash England and to take revenge of getting white washed by England in 2011. Ajinkya Rahane and Lokesh Rahul opened the inning for India but didn’t succeed to give a good start as Rahane lost his wicket on the team score of 13. Rahane once again failed to find a comeback match. He was sent back to pavilion by David Willey on personal score of 1(6). As team skipper was trying to control the rains of the team, India lost their second wicket on the score of 37 runs. To handle the situation the in-formed batsman of team India entered into the ground Yes it was ‘Punjab ka Sher’ Yuvraj Singh. Virat Kohli and Yuvraj singh took the stand and added 65 runs for the third wicket. England bowlers again struck and sent Yuvraj Virat and Dhoni back to pavilion Indian experienced batsman collapsed like a pack of cards. Kedar Jadhav and Hardik Pandya did a great job as a middle order and added 104 runs for the 6th wicket. Now India needed 16 runs in the last over and Kedar was on the strike and hit first ball out of the ropes now India needed 10 runs in 5 balls once again Kedar strikes and hit boundary now they needed 6 for 4. Kedar tried to finish the match with 6 but failed to do so and lost the wicket. England won the match by 5 runs. And England survived to get whitewashed by India. Ben Stokes became the man of the match by scoring 57 and took 3 wickets. Congratulations Team England and thanks to both the teams for entertaining us with a such thrilling end.
