After winning the toss RCB chose to bat. Shane Watson and Chris Gayle opened the innings while Pat Cummins and Zaheer Khan bowled for Delhi Daredevils. Gayle 6(8) started steadily with some singles. He tried to hit a full toss ball by Chris Morris to six and was caught by Sanju Samson, what a superb catch it was. Mandeep Singh came in to bat, hit 2 boundaries for you and he too was out 12(10) trying to hit another but the ball took the inner edge and went on to the stumps – bowled.
Nadeem was bowling well and Shane Watson kept batting steadily. Kedar Jadhav joined the batting and attacked Amit Mishra’s leg break for long Sixer. Watson 24 runs 24 balls also tried to attack the bowling of Nadeem but was stumped quick by Rishabh Pant on 24 runs.
Kedar Jadhav kept his super hitting of fours and sixes scoring 24 runs of the Amit Mishra over. The RCB home ground was full or shouts for RCB and Kedar. Zaheer Khan sent in Carlos Brathwaite to bowl and Kedar hit him a four and a six reaching his 51 in 26 balls. He scored a thrilling 69 runs in 37 balls hitting 5 fours and 5 sixes. After his wicket, the RCB runrate slowed down and finally RCB total was 157/8 in 20 over RCB.
Good batting by Kedar for RCB and good bowling by Delhi Daredevils in the last 5 overs. Zaheer Khan bowled 4 overs 31 runs and took 2 wickets. Chris Morris took 3 wickets for 21 runs in his 4 overs. Delhi had a target of 158 runs to be scored in 120 balls.
DD started well but did not manage to make use of the power play. Aditya Tare 18(17) and Sam Billings played steady. Tare’s wicket fell in 5th over and Karun Nair 4(3) was out in 6th over. Sanju Samson played will but fell 13(12). Rishabh Pant was the only player who was batting confident and scoring with good shots and strokes. The rest of 5 batsmen could not stand the RCB bowling.

Amit Mishra comes to bat, faced a few deliveries while Rishabh Pant is on the non-striking end on 49(31) DD needed 33 runs of 22 balls. Rishab Pant almost edged that last delivery by Watson. What an exciting over it was by Shane Watson.
Now DD need 32 0f 18 balls to win and RCB needs 3 wickets to win. Tymal Mills bowls the next over, Mishra lofts one to the third-man area and gets 2 runs. Next, a single, Rishabh on strike – on 49 (32) and finally reaches his 50, Half Century in 33 balls.
19th over was bowled by Watson and again he bowled well giving only 2 runs as Amit Mishra kept missing the fast deliveries. Now Delhi needed 19 runs off 6 balls, Rishab Pant on strike and left-arm spinner Pawan Negi bowls the 1st ball – BOWLED! Rishabh Pant is out bowled on the 1st ball by Negi trying to sweep and the ball hits leg stump.
Delhi 19 in 5 balls now it is very difficult. Nadeem comes to bat. Next ball, stumping… third umpire … NOT OUT. Now 4 ball 19 needed… Negi hits it high in the air and it’s a catch. Nadeem caught and bowled Negi who takes 2 wickets in 1 over. DD reach 142/9 in 20 overs.
RCB pull back the match and win by 15 runs. Super T20 Cricket all the way.
